Plato's Closet Shopping Trip #1 11/5/2013

What a week!

So, as I detailed in this post on Kate Explains It All, I got a really nice surprise a couple days ago when I attempted to put on my first pair of jeans since Summer hit a couple months ago. To my unfortunate surprise, the pants were a little more than snug. This prompted me to weigh myself, plop myself on the couch to console myself and contemplate eating a whole tub of ice cream.

Then, I finally thought of something positive: this was just the chance for another shopping trip!

So, of course, since I made the plan on Wednesday that it was time to kick myself in the butt and get back to they gym there was no way that I was going to pay full price for a couple pairs of jeans to tie me over until the excess weight goes bye-bye. I headed on over to Plato's Closet to see what I could find.

If you aren't familiar with Plato's Closet, here is a brief explanation from their website:

At Plato's Closet® you'll find a huge selection of trendy, designer styles as well as those every day basics you can't live without - all at up to 70% off mall retail prices!
Most of our stores buy and sell girls sizes 0/1 to 15/16 and guys size 28 to 40 waist. Please contact your local store for more details.
We're not your typical secondhand clothing store. The gently used clothing and accessories that we buy are: top-name brands, cool, hip, trendy, clean and in good condition. Typically we buy items that have been in the retail stores within the past 12 to 18 months and are current teen and young adult styles still seen in the mall.
Check with your local store for the specific buying standards and needs as well as hours of operation and buying hours. These may vary somewhat by location.

Pretty cool, huh?

I have to say, I made out like a bandit! I even found some (ok, a lot) of stuff that I hadn't even gone into there for!

1. Lucky Brand Jeans $20.00

2. Aeropostale Thermal Henley in Pink ($6.00)
